About
Sandra’s path to PWB has been anything but conventional, taking her through law, photography and the Royal Australian Air Force before bringing her back to the firm. After completing a Bachelor of Engineering (Medical) in 2002, Sandra worked in a variety of roles before heading overseas. She spent part of a year at a criminal law firm in London as a personal assistant and HR assistant. Sandra joined PWB in 2006 as a personal assistant and became Office Manager later that year. In 2008, she left for a different adventure, training and working as a photographer with the Royal Australian Air Force until 2011. Fortunately for PWB, Sandra returned in March 2011 and resumed her role as a personal assistant. She continued her service as an Air Force Reservist until 2016 and has remained an essential part of PWB ever since her return. Today, Sandra helps keep the team and its clients moving forward. She is exceptionally organised and quietly efficient, with one particularly useful talent: remaining calm when deadlines, competing priorities and last-minute changes arrive together. Even the occasional legal crisis is met with the same steady composure. Her empathy is just as important. Sandra understands what clients, lawyers and colleagues need, sometimes before they have put it into words. For Emma, Sandra is the organisational glue that allows her to focus on the law and her clients. For the wider team, she does much the same: keeping the details in hand, people supported and the wheels turning.
