Kate Hughes
In 2013 Kate graduated from the University of Tasmania with a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws. Kate completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in 2014 and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of Tasmania in the same year.
She commenced her career in Launceston before joining the team at PWB Lawyers in 2021.
Kate is the previous Secretary of the Northern Young Lawyers Committee.
Kate can provide advice on areas including:
- Parenting Arrangements; including live with orders, recovery orders, and contravention applications;
- Family Violence Order Applications;
- Child Safety Service Matters; and
- Divorce Applications
Kate attempts to resolve family law disputes through alternative dispute resolution but can also assist in Court proceedings when required. Kate regularly appears in the Magistrates Court and Federal Circuit Court.
